History of Tetris

I forgot about this incredible documentary about the history of arguably the world’s most enduring video game Tetris.

Thanks to Jason Kottke for the link (both a fw months ago and then in his 2006 roundup).

If the trade negotiations between all of the parties had gone differently, I wonder what the face of video gaming would look like today?

Leonie's Coconut Rice

2 Tbs oil, (depending on how much you want to make) ratio: 1cup rice (Jasmine best) to 1 cup vege stock and ½ can coconut milk. (I go double)

Heat oil on medium, add rice and stir constantly until slightly brown, add stock and coconut milk (careful it bubbles up).

Stir every couple minutes so it doesn’t stick, turn down the heat a bit. When most of the liquid is absorbed turn off the heat and leave pot covered for about 5 minutes.

I totally have a MySpace page

I made a MySpace profile . I felt dirty for a little while, but I am now totally into it.

I have friends that I have added as such, others have added me, I have regained contact with a few people I haven’t seen in a while.

MySpace also tells you when people’s birthdays are, so you can message them to wish them well. Very convenient for people like me who find it hard to remember their own birthdate.

The reason for this post is to extoll the virtues of Mike Davidson’s post called Hacking a More Tasteful MySpace. This is a fantastic tutorial on how to garble your css to make MySpace read it.

Check it out.
